Steven Dutton

Stephen J. Dutton is a partner of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, resident in the Indianapolis, Indiana office, where he is a member of the Business Department. He concentrates his practice on corporate matters. His practice includes public and private company acquisitions, tender offers, and public and private offerings of equity and debt. He represents a number of software and other high technology companies and counsels them and other business clients on a broad range of legal issues that affect their business and operations. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Dutton received a B.S. degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois, in 1965. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis in 1969. He joined Barnes & Thornburg as a partner in 2003. Mr. Dutton is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana. Mr. Dutton serves as the chair of TechPoint, Inc., the voice for Indiana’s technology community with approximately 400 members statewide. He is also a director and secretary of the Greater Indianapolis Foreign Trade Zone, Inc., and a director of TechPoint Foundation.
