Amy Conrad Warner

In 1987 Amy Conrad Warner joined Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus administration in the Office of Special Media Projects.  She was responsible for funding and managing strategic campus initiatives to integrate technology into teaching and learning both on and off campus.  Warner served as project director for New Pathways to a Degree Initiative funded by Annenberg-Corporation for Public Broadcasting to develop undergraduate courses for online learners.

As founding chairman of the Educational Television Cooperative, a consortium of area high schools and post-secondary institutions, Warner raised the funding to coordinate, operate and manage the Educational Access Cable Channel in Indianapolis. Through the Indiana Partnership for Statewide Education, she developed and implemented a strategic plan to deliver courses and services to college students statewide. 

As Associate Vice Chancellor for Lifelong Learning at IUPUI, Amy served as the campus officer responsible for developing comprehensive services for adult learners, including origination of policies and overseeing the strategic development of online, executive education, and emerging academic programs for adult learners.

Amy currently serves as Vice Chancellor for External Affairs and oversees Communications and Marketing, Government and Media Relations, Alumni Relations, Community Outreach, and IU Foundation activities at IUPUI. 

Warner serves on the Board of Governors for the Heartland Film Festival, the Board of Directors for the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and the Hispanic Business Council. Previously, Amy served on the Board of Directors for NPower Indiana, and at the state level established the Indiana Commission on Community Service and the E-Commerce division of the Indiana Department of Commerce.

Amy is an Indiana native, holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University and a master’s degree from the IU School of Informatics at IUPUI. Amy is pursuing a Ph.D. in Philanthropic Studies at IUPUI. Amy and her husband John have three children and reside in Indianapolis.
