Introducing New Tech High @ Arsenal Tech
The first New Tech High School started in Napa, California over ten years ago. Its formula for success has been replicated by thirty schools in eight states. Over the next two years, Indiana is launching its own network of New Tech High Schools. With TechPoint Foundation’s support, IPS is opening New Tech High @ Arsenal Tech this fall...a new small school where the first freshman class of 120 will receive a 21st century education built on project-based instruction, teachers as coaches and mentors, and a laptop for every student.

TechPoint Foundation
and the Community’s Role TechPoint Foundation is among the first organizations to support Indiana’s New Tech High initiative. Our work with IPS over the past year helped secure their position in the national New Tech network. TechPoint Foundation board members and staff are personally involved in many areas of this project as part of our multi-year commitment to the success of New Tech High @ Arsenal Tech. The New Tech High model is built on community involvement, with students learning in the workplace, and volunteers in the classroom. For its students to achieve success, New Tech High @ Arsenal Tech must have the necessary volunteer and financial resources. |
